Svenska Spel Online Casino Attracts High Signup Numbers

The online casino lottery site has only been in action for two months and it already boasting 30,000 newly signed up members. Svenska Spel is the first Swedish government owned online casino and went live in March this year with its online poker facilities. The numbers were revealed with the online casino’s software provider, Boss Media, reported on its business performance for the financial period.
Boss Media, a top online casino software provider, reported on a growth in net sales of 35 percent in the six months to the end of March, and royalty revenues up by 43 percent over the same period. In the latest results, net sales totaled US$10 million while royalty revenues reached $8 million. Over the past six months, the online casino software provider revealed that it has closed deals with Synot Lotto as part of the company’s expansion into the Czech market and had delivered new gaming systems to other gaming sites in Sweden.
As part of its international expansion, the online casino software provider also recently acquired 20% of Bele – an online sports provider which delivers online casino services to China. It also re-negotiated a deal with Bet and Win which saw the Austrian company end its poker contract with Boss Media but renew its casino licensing until August 2007.
