The Fate of the Online Casino Industry
22 Nov 2006
Since the recent online casino ban was passed in the US there has been some concern about how this will affect the online casino industry all round the world. Many online casino sites worldwide have been closed as a result of this legislation. In Costa Rica, their Electronic Gambling Association is calling for more involvement from government officials regarding online casino gambling business that is going on in Costa Rica.
The organization’s president, Eduardo Agami believes that the online casino business is good for Costa Rica, giving 10,000 people a job who would otherwise be unemployed. He feels that the online casino industry is very productive for Costa Rica and that it will be a very positive move by the government if they will agree to regulate online casino gambling.
Agami intends to work hard to regulate the online casino industry in Costa Rica so that both online casino employees and fans do not have to live in fear all the time because that is the case while the industry is not regulated. Hopefully Agami’s hard work will pay off and when he achieves his aim the Costa Rican online casino fans and employees will be very grateful to him and his association. If Agami does reach his goal and manages to get the online casino industry regulated in Costa Rica he will be paving the way for other countries that do not want to be influenced by the recent new legislation in the US.
